I'm Baccckkkk

Thank God for another day cause I would not be here if it was not for Him. I am not an graduate from the University of Memphis with an Professional studies in Fashion Merchandise. I could have not done it without the grace of God. Long hard four years has gone by with studying, long nights, and praying for grades and peace.
The next step I wait for is waiting on God to show me where He want me to go next. I am waiting patiently to hear where God want me next. Pray for me and the graduate that just graduated this year for clear path on their life.

First project

Today I was so nervous because I had to present my trend project in front of the class. Then to make things worse I forgot my broad at my house, so I had less than an hour to redo my broad and print out my paper. Lord knows I was panicking, thank God for my friend Latoya I know I can always count on her. She really did majority of my broad over cause I could not think. I was lost for words. School Crazy 2

So I didn't get to go to the thrift store this weekend, but I did get the chance to go to Sear's and I got some really cool clothes. The picture that I will upload is me with a dark orange jacket with my leopard shoes. These things will spice up my outfit where I am wearing a white shirt and black skirt. Ii am showing what you can wear to make the outfit pop for any occasion . Have a blessed day!!

School Crazy

School is about to start back for me and I am on the side of what to wear. Well let see I have to dress business casual for my classes now since I am close to graduation, but I don't want to dress all plain like the regular black with white, khaki and white, or gray and white. I want color to my name, I want to stand out from the other crowd what do I need to do (reality check) lol! Nothing wrong wearing black, khaki, and gray those are cool colors to let others know you mean business. I just thought about something else navy is a really great color too, I learned that if you wear blue instead of black to an interview you could be considered less dominate or not trying to take their job. Black and red are power colors if didn't know. So jazz up my business casual days I am going to find so color to make me pop out from the rest of the crowd. Sunlight

I want to take a picture of what I wore Sunday but, it did not look right. You know why? When I put my outfit together I thought my skirt had pink lines on it so I put a light pink blouse with it. When I got in the car thinking I was ready for church, I looked down and noticed that my lines that I thought was pink was actual brown. I could not believe OMG! Was in my mind, but it was too late to change so I rocked it anyway. So here is my tip for everyone make sure you have lights that are close to sunlight to see the true colors of your clothing. Bored

So last night I fell asleep without knowing what to wear today OMG!!! So I woke up early this morning thanking God that my sister didn't have to go to work early this morning. That mean I got more time to think about what I want to wear. So I looked at my black dress and thought okay I can wear that today. Since it is "Fancy Friday" I don't want to be over bearing with colors so I choose black. Along with my black dress I put on a dark orange tank under it. Here is my picture for today. Since I work at a bookstore I trying to look presentable since I pack boxes, unpack boxes and write on boxes. Well you can say I am surround by boxes everyday and all of the stuff from boxes get on your clothes, so I am trying to look cute while cover with boxes pieces. I even put on some cute earnings with my flower headband.

Sunday best!!

I am finally back from my long vacation and I am ready to start school ( I think) boy oh boy, I can not and can wait till I graduate. So to start back on a term I will be talking about what I wore to church yesterday morning. It is hard trying to find something to wear to church because you want to be conservative and conscious of the men in your church, because you don't want to tempt them and you want to be fashionable at the same time. It weird because I wanted to wear yellow wedges but I didn't know what outfit to wear them with beside the one outfit I had already matched it up with five to six months ago. I saw a skirt that was a little colorful but could go with the yellow wedges and a greenish shirt. When I match things up like this I feel like a true fashion designer. Okay after I had my outfit together my hair was next to do, since I am natural I had to think of a nice elegant style, so I push my hair up almost close to a ponytail but I left a fro on the top of my head with a flat twist in the front of my head. And to tie my outfit together with the yellow wedges I put a yellowish flower in my head. Check out my photo and let me know what you? Have a blessed day!!

Getting ready for South Carolina

So as the day come closer and closer for me to leave for South Carolina, I start thinking about what I should wear.  I need to prepare to go on the beach, amusement parks, and restaurants.  That is like three different styles I have to come up with in order to look all summery.  So far I know what color I want to paint my nails (I think).  Planning for a trip is very hard, but it is even harder when you are taking a bus, you can't pack as much as you want to.  Well if you need help packing for a trip check this website out (www.collegelifestyles.org). From my understanding after reading the article, recycle you outfits, and pack light (extremely light). If you try to bring any gifts along be aware of the space that you have in your bag.

So after reading this I have come to an agreement of what I am bringing along:

-Personal Items
-Sunscreen lotion
-Flats
-Sandals
-3 or 5 Sun dresses
-3-5 skirts that I can turn into dresses (check out one of my blogs to understand how I do that)
-Phone chargers, car and wall charger

This seem about everything hopeful, if not than I might not need it.

Transformation

Have you ever thought about man I need some new clothes, well sometimes I feel the way because I don't shopping a lot. So I started this thing at work where every Friday it is "Fancy Friday's", meaning I dress up every Friday so other people can see my taste of Fashion. One of the ideas that was suggested because I wear vintage clothes some times because I shop at the thrifty store.
Yesterday I went to a Fashion Show and I didn't know what to wear so my friends gave me a idea to change my skirts into a dress, so I did and I put a belt around to define my shape. So don't ever think you don't have anything to where, it is all about changing what you already have. Have a blessed day!

New hair Style!!!

So I am sooo happy I did my own hair, yaaa me!!!

Night Out

Today I wasn't expecting to buy anything but when you go with someone else that is buying something you end up looking too. Never again will I look at something knowing I don't have the money to buy it. I will have to pray for more control. On a side not I am so proud of myself because I study the scripture Genesis 8:21 for memory, this shows me how much God gave us grace when He did not bring another flood to earth. Thank God for that!!! Okay back to the outfit I wore today I found it at rainbow for 16.99 ,but not only did i get one but two because I can't help myself when I see the right price. The other one was 14.99, when I wear I will try to post it on here. Since I don't like showing skin I added a white jacket for my arms, I put my white jacket almost with everything and I jazz it up some more with nice earrings and a headband. And that how you dress conservative for a night out with the girls. Have a blessed day!!

Unpretty

Do anyone ever have those days when they feel like they are ugly or just don't have on the right clothes today because you work all the time and all day. Never have the time to dress nice or to look pretty. Well I had one of those days last week because I work all day and never get the chance to dress up or just throw some make- up on. I shouldn't feel that way because God made me beautiful no matter what people say. Have a blessed day!

Shopping under $100

Thursday I had a mind to go shopping because I been seeing some cute clothes this girl had on. Every time I would see her I would say pretty shirt or pretty hat and every time she would say thanks. The next thing that would come out of her mouth is where she getting from which is the thrift store and I would be in awe cause she would have on cute things that I want. So Thursday came and it was my time to shop and I was on schedule so I gave myself an hour to shop. When I got the thrift store I dug in as quickly as I can to get new skirts or dresses for my new style. As my hand was pulling clothes from left to right I notice I had to many and I had to stop before my time was out. So I tried all my clothes on and they all fit Thank God!! And I was out of the store within an hour and my total came up to be $16.00 even. As I continue to walk I was thinking about Crazy Beautiful boutique shop. I went in there to see if they had any sales and they did I found two pairs of shoes one pair was boots for 28 dollars and the other pair was a sandal with an heel on it cost $18 I was so happy that my hour was well spent. Lol!! Well have a blessed day !!😄

Sunday Best

So some time ago I was thinking if I want to be a fashion designer I have to think about older women too. The reason I say that because once women get older they dent their age a couple million times lol! but with my line I want to design clothes for women who are older and young but if you ate older you don't want to dress like you are twenty again. I want my line have a sense of style for older so they don't have to fell older by the things they wear or too young and have everyone comment on them. So last week I redesign a couple of dresses I got from the thrift store and from my mom. I didn't do too much reconstruction just a little sip ere and there. My mind is always rolling in new ideas to improve fashion with the Gospel. As I have said before I want Christ to be the center of my clothing line. I will upload one of the dresses I cut the sleeves off, add a jacket, and a belt to show my waist off and to make it look updated.

Dressing for work

So today is "Jean Day" at work today so I am super excited which happen ever Saturday lol! But today is different because I want to wear something that is not too tight because I don't like tight clothes and some colorful with a girly field to it. So what came to my mind is dark blue jeans, pink aeropostale pullover with tiger blue shirt color (Go Tigers!!!), flora head band because I like giving my natural hair some pop to it and light brown boots that I pick up from Rainbow for ten or five dollars ( Bargain Shopper whop whop) lol! And BAM!! you have an cute girly outfit for "Jean Day".

Encourage someone

Today was and still is a blessed day because God gave an chance to encourage my coworkers at work today. The way I did that was write little encouragement notes on note cards and posted it in different areas of the work place. It really meant alot to me when they told me they enjoyed the note I left for then to read. I think the biggest challenge today is not enough people are encouraging others to do their best, but instead people are putting other people down. Let's challenge ourselves and lift someone spirt up by staying how much they mean to you or just tell them that what they are doing is is good. If what they doing is good lol!

Bright Idea!

So one day something happen to me that I have not figure out yet, and the reason is because I do not know if it really happen or not.  Let me tell you than I started shopping at the thrift store because I was like I need new clothes so I started shopping at the thrift store when I got paid and I would find clothes in there that look like people in the 70's wore this but I would be like I can rock this because I can just change it up into something that I would enjoy wearing.  So from all of that I am saying I think my fashion sense has kick full time because lately I have been having some really great ideas on how to redesign dress and coming up with hair accessories ideas.  God has really given me an gift to design clothes and I am loving it.  My mind has be running every since I start shopping at the thrift store and I feel I am being more adventures with the way I dress in a well manner way.  NOT in a way that all of my assets is showing but in a way that show I can put any type of clothes together and make it look great.  I thank God for that because He is the one that is giving me all the ideas.
